Best Concert Venue: Colonial Life Arena

Colonial Life Arena doubles as the home of Gamecock basketball and a great concert venue for internationally recognized performers. Located just off campus near Greek Village and 650 Lincoln apartment complex, Colonial Life is the perfect place to see your favorite artists live.

Colonial Life Arena is known for attracting well-known artists including Post Malone, KISS, and Jason Aldean in early 2020.

I was able to see Ariana Grande at Colonial Life Arena in December 2019 and Gamecock Entertainment’s “Cockstock” event with A$AP Ferg earlier that semester, and both experiences were amazing! The helpful staff made it easy to get tickets and find my seats. Even though I had the cheapest possible seats for the Ariana Grande concert, I still had a good view of the stage and was able to hear everything loud and clear.

Since Colonial Life is a University of South Carolina building, UofSC Student Ticketing Services occasionally gives way tickets through their Instagram and Twitter (@uofsctickets)! Madeline Shea, a sophomore at UofSC, attended the Ariana Grande concert in 2019 after winning tickets from UofSC Student Ticketing.

Shea’s not-so-great seats were upgraded by one of Colonial Life’s staff members, allowing her to get a floor seat up close to the stage!

Tickets for events are typically sold online at TicketMaster and at the arena box office, so keep a lookout for when your favorite artists are coming to Colonial Life Arena!
